Mocking Goliath, the Deathgrind solo project by Thomas Knüwer, was established in 2011 in Hamburg, Germany. The self-titled debut EP was published in 2011 as a free online-only release. Obolus, released in February 2016, marks Mocking Goliath’s return to the filthy realms where Death Metal and Grindcore meet. Obolus is a concept album about Charon, the ferryman of Hades.
